The Chuckle Club Comedy Night is bringing another three shows to the kingdom this week, featuring comedians Andrew Ryan, Johnny Pemberton and Jojo Sutherland. The first will be at the Rugby Club, Janabiya, tonight, with a show at the British Club, Um Al Hassam, tomorrow and one at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain, Manama, on Friday.

The American Women’s Association (AWA) will be hosting its VISIONS Art Exhibition, showcasing fine art & photography, at the Swiss-Belhotel Seef, from today until Saturday.

The opening is at 7pm. A special Ladies Morning will be held tomorrow from 9am-1pm. The exhibition will be open from 9am-9pm tomorrow and Friday, and from 9am-7pm on Saturday.

Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa is celebrating Goût de France (Good France) in La Mer restaurant from 7pm.

Goût de France will commemorate French gastronomy in various locations worldwide today. More than 1,000 chefs across the world are expected to join the event on the eve of spring. Dinners served simultaneously in participating restaurants will honour the merits of French cuisine, its capacity for innovation and its values: sharing, enjoying and respecting the principles of high-quality, environmentally responsible cuisine.

Friday (March 20)
The School of Speech and Dramatic Arts, in association with Manama Theatre Club, is presenting Four Short Scenes from American Plays tonight at the British Club of Bahrain. For more details, call 17750777.

A charity football tournament will take place at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club, Janabiya, from 9.30am-5.30pm. Twenty-one teams will take part in under-eight and under-14 categories. Players pay BD2 each, which will go directly to the Home of Disabled Children charity in Isa Town.

Royal Golf Club’s Links Friday Carvery Brunch features a range of starters, live cooking stations, traditional carved meats, desserts and more.

Chart-topping musician Pitbull will take to the stage in Bahrain next month as the headline act of the Formula One concerts at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.

He will be performing on April 18 as part of an extensive line-up that also includes British band The Vamps and Swedish DJ Otto Knows, who will perform on April 11 at the Race Fever Event held in the lead-up to the race weekend.
