The team of Tim Billa, Phil Sadler, Jason Leighton and Dena Wales cruised to victory in the annual St Patrick’s Day Rumble Golf Tournament at the Royal Golf Club with a team score of 81 stableford points.
The battle for second place was much tighter with two teams scoring 72 points apiece. After the countback system was used to separate them the team of Rick Hillson, Mike Wiggins, Jeremy Dixon and Kevin Ross emerged as runners-up. Naeem Khan, Rajinder Sachdeva and husband and wife Stan and Hilde Kwik had to settle for third place.
A nearest the pin in two shots side contest, held on the 18th hole was won by Graeme Newport while Niall Patton also won a prize for winning the ‘Most Appropriately Dressed Person’ contest.
