Cartoon Planet, Tubli, has opened its ‘Cartoons & Illustrations’ workshop until August 22. Bahraini cartoonist Mohammed Al Mahdi will lead the workshops every Saturday, Monday and Wednesday with classes taking place at 5pm-6.30pm for children and 7pm-8.30pm for adults. The workshop is priced at BD85, including tools and materials.

The Bahrain National Museum is holding an interactive exhibition using stories from the famous collection of fables, Kalila wa Dimna, bringing to life the characters, their relationships and lessons. The event will run until September 30.

Hala Zubari is instructing Bahrain’s first Beginners Cheerleading Camp today and Sunday at Oxygen Gym, Barbar. Children aged four to seven can attend the Mini Lulus Class from 9am-10am and for ages eight to 16 the Junior Danas from 11am-1pm. Packages are priced at BD70 for Lulus, BD140 for Danas, BD45 for private groups of five and BD8 for drop-in.

Dublin Club, Ramee Palace Hotel Bahrain in Juffair, has introduced its new resident band and DJ, Stereo Revolution and DJ Johnny, pictured right, who will perform six nights a week from Monday to Saturday from 9pm onwards. The ‘Belvedere Jammer’s Night’ event will take place every Saturday, where customers get the chance to jam out on stage with their instrument of choice along with the band. Inspire Bahrain is hosting a Build a Production Summer Camp from August 22-27 for children aged six to 14. Participants will create a stage production from scratch involving singing, dancing, acting, writing and painting. The price for one week is BD75 per child and BD125 for two siblings.
