Oil pulling is when you take a small amount of oil in your mouth and swish it around or ‘pull’ it between your teeth. The result is whiter teeth, but also a lot of other benefits.
If you practice oil pulling for 15 minutes a day, you are doing the equivalent of a massage for your tonsils and pulling any toxins that may have gotten stuck there. The oil pulling motion also energises the salivary glands and the muscles in the face and neck area.
But the degree of effectiveness of the process depends on the quality of the oil. Buy organic cold-pressed sesame oil or coconut oil and use a tablespoon of it in your mouth daily for oil pulling.
Keep ‘pulling’ it for 15 minutes until you notice that it has become more liquid and has mixed well with your saliva. Spit out the mixture into the toilet and flush. Then rinse and brush your teeth as usual.
Make oil pulling part of your routine and you’ll soon realise you love the effect and can’t live without it.
