The Balenciaga pieces under the creative direction of Alexander Wang have just increased in value and promoted to ‘must have’ status due to the announcement of his departure from the renowned fashion house.
According to International Business Times, Wang will not be renewing his contract and the brand confirmed that he will be leaving following weeks of speculation.
“Since 2012, Alexander Wang has stood at the creative helm of the maison and has been instrumental in the pursuit of its development. With his proven talent and his irreverent, modern vision of design, Alexander Wang has brought a new impetus to the brand,” said the brand in a statement recently.
A new creative director will be announced in due course and the designer’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection, to be presented on October 2 during Paris Fashion Week, will be his last for Balenciaga.
