Swiss-Belhotel Seef Bahrain this week celebrated its first anniversary with the launch of a chic rooftop restaurant and lounge offering guests stunning views to complement its chilled environment.
The contemporarily-designed B28 Bar Lounge & Grill, located on the 28th floor of the four-star hotel, has a built-up area of approximately 200sq/m and can accommodate 80 customers comfortably.
According to the hotel’s general manager, Herve Peyre, the lounge aims to attract business and leisure guests, aged 30 and above, that are looking for a location to relax and unwind over jazzy music and tasty treats while enjoying a breathtakingly 360-degree panoramic view of the bustling Seef district.
Mr Peyre said: “The idea was to create a trendy venue with music for the younger crowd to enjoy but kept at a volume that still allows older guests to have a conversation.
“This will be a great place for those wanting to unwind after a long day’s work, since we have tons of offices nearby. It can also be a good meeting point for friends and families to socialise as the lounge-style music will not be loud, the food will be divine and the view breathtaking.
“B28 fits perfectly in the market since there are only a few outlets in my opinion where one can socialise with friends and colleagues in a real lounge and cosy atmosphere. We wanted to be a bit different. When you reach a certain age you want to relax and be able to have a conversation while still enjoying a contemporary atmosphere.
“It’s also great for young people too, of course. We are emphasising high quality food at good value.”
During Monday’s launch event, invited guests experienced the venue’s friendly customer service while sampling plates of its signature dishes.
B28 Grill restaurant offers visitors a food ‘sharing’ concept. The menu includes a selection of grilled prime meats and seafood, spicy wasabi buttered jumbo shrimps, ceviche and more.
During the past 12 months the Swiss establishment has received plenty of positive feedback from guests, both local and those visiting from neighbouring Gulf countries.
Mr Peyre said: “The hotel is doing very well as it offers a combination of attractions such as a great location, situated nearby corporate offices, banks and malls, along with spacious rooms, city and sea views and what I like to consider a ‘superior’ service.
“We have received excellent comments from guests who are staying with us either for leisure or business reasons. They particularly appreciate the friendly and professional service of our team.”
The hotel has also launched a German promotion at the Swiss-Café Restaurant and it will end with an Oktoberfest evening in B28 on October 3.
The hotel group will be opening a sister five-star Grand Swiss-Belhotel Resort & Spa Seef Bahrain next year.
Owned by Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the hotel will be located between the beach and City Centre Bahrain. It is the brand’s12th property in the Middle East and will include 193 rooms, two banquet and conference rooms, two restaurants, a coffee shop, two nightclubs, a business centre, a swimming pool and a health club.
