Toyota recently unveiled its new 2016 Prius at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, and the fourth generation of the model has taken its biggest strides yet in improving CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency.

It is the first global vehicle to use the Toyota New Global Architecture, which consists of a more rigid platform which, combined with a class-leading low centre of gravity and a new front and rear suspension, offers a fun and refined drive.

Active safety systems have also received a significant update, as all models will feature the Toyota Safety Sense package which includes Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beam and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

Takayuki Yoshitsugu, chief representative of Toyota Middle East and North Africa, said: “With its established DNA of fuel efficiency and ecological prowess, the new Prius offers cutting-edge style and a superb driving experience in addition to enhanced safety. The new Prius has been improved significantly and offers a new perspective of what a hybrid can be.”

The new Toyota Prius will be available later this year from the E K Kanoo Toyota showroom in Sitra. Price details are yet to be announced.
