AMCs the Walking Dead has got everyone riled up with its most recent episode, and when I mean everyone I don’t mean just teenage boys obsessed with guts and gore, I mean … everyone.
It used to be that if a mature adult was offered the chance to watch a Zombie show they would take no notice, but this series appears to have stretched its typical teenage boy demographic into something much wider.
Parents are watching Zombie TV shows with their children, who would have ever imagined this day ever being reality? I know I certainly didn’t!
But, thanks to The Walking Dead’s impressive character development, it really has started a conversation about how far someone would go to keep their family and friends safe.
This show has become so popular that it’s even got its own spin-off show called Fear The Walking Dead, which explores a different set of characters after the Zombie outbreak.
Aside from the gore, The Walking Dead’s enriched plot explores many characters over the span of their lives after the end of the world as we know it, although I gather that actor Andrew Lincoln is, maybe, the main reason why many mothers watch the show now!
The Walking Dead is a beacon for post-apocalypse shows as it presents the beauty, above the blood, in a truly spectacular way.
