THE world’s most valuable guitar will make its Middle East debut at Jewellery Arabia 2015 as part of a global tour. The CORONET Gibson guitar has an estimated value of $2 million and will be unveiled on Tuesday at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.
The fully-functional musical instrument is adorned with 11,441 diamonds (401.15 carats) set in 1.6kg of 18k white gold. It took a team of 68 artisans up to 700 days to complete the showpiece.
Brought together by legendary guitar maker Gibson Brands, Hong Kong-based founder of the CORONET brand Aaron Shum Jewellery and musician/artist Mark Lui, the diamond encrusted masterpiece named ‘Eden of CORONET’ is the most valuable guitar ever as certified by Guinness World Records.
The guitar’s unveiling at Jewellery Arabia 2015 follows appearances in Hong Kong, Switzerland and the US.
