Jewellery Arabia 2015 is set to take place from today until November 28 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sanabis.

More than 600 exhibitors from 30 nations will showcase their wares across an area of 21,000sq/m at the venue, which includes specially-commissioned temporary halls. On sale will be a range of finished jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques, jewellery packaging and technology from around the globe.

The Indian Club Manama is hosting an evening of song from the ‘golden era’ tomorrow. The stage performance of ‘Geetmala’ will showcase the works of Indian legends Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Mukesh. The event starts at 7.30pm and entry is free. Playback singers Nayan Shah, Cochin Azad, Anitha Shaiq and Renjith Kumar will perform a wide repertoire of songs from the three maestros, to the accompaniment of Music City, a 20-piece Bahrain-based orchestra, which is claimed to be a first for a stage show in the kingdom, led by event organiser, Rafeeq Vadakara.

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has put together a lively line-up of theatrical shows and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy during the FIA WEC Six Hours of Bahrain.

The highly-anticipated endurance racing weekend – the eighth and final round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship – takes place Friday and Saturday in Sakhir.

BIC is the WEC’s exclusive annual stop in the Middle East. It is one of only a few day-to-night races on the WEC calendar, making for a visual spectacle for race-goers that promises a stunning sunset and a brilliantly floodlit track at night.

To add to the Six Hours of Bahrain, a support programme ensures two whole days of non-stop action. Also racing at BIC that weekend will be the GP2 Series, GP3 Series, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East and the MRF Challenge.

But aside from the on-track activities, visitors will also have plenty to look forward to at the BIC vending area. As part of the off-track entertainment, there will be street theatre acts and an interactive area for guests who wish to get close to the ultimate racing experience.

The street theatre shows feature The Men in Coats, masters of non-verbal entertainment. They have performed at major festivals worldwide, such as at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Melbourne Comedy Festival and recently at the Comedy Arts Festival in Moers, Germany.

The Men in Coats also received the Hackney Empire New Act Award in London and were invited to the Royal Variety Show at the BBC.

Joining them are The Trash Test Dummies, a group of artists creating innovative circus and physical theatre works. They look to take audiences on a journey into their playful imagination, where they explore the infinite uses of everyday objects in the most profound and hilarious ways.

Meanwhile, the interactive area at BIC will include a reverse bungee ride and section where fans can enjoy driving in state-of-the-art GT simulators.

For those looking for an extreme activity, the reverse bungee soars into the sky with a thrilling surge of pure adrenaline. The Reverse Bungee is a truly breath-taking experience in which brave riders are catapulted high up into the air at totally ludicrous speeds, spinning and bouncing as they go.

Furthermore, eight GT simulators with the BIC track will be giving the fans a chance to compete with others to be the first to get to the finish line.
