THE Whisperer popped into one of his favourite coffee shops before a morning round of golf and ordered his regular spicy egg breakfast dish and requested brown toast to accompany it.
The waitress was new, smiled politely, and delivered the plate a few minutes later with the fluffy egg placed firmly on two slices of white toast.
Just so she gets the order correct next time, the mild-mannered Whisperer pointed out the error of her ways. No mistake, she said, handing him a side-dish of brown toast … do you think it was lost in translation?
