Almost everyone I speak to is constipated. Constipation has become such a regular symptom that people are now overlooking it, or think that it’s normal not to have a bowel movement for two-three days, even a week sometimes!
It’s not good for the body not to eliminate. Toxins stay in the body and re-circulate. You feel heavy and bloated. And diseases lurk in a congested colon.
So, take out all your weapons and start your quest for regular bowels. The first weapon is the toilet stool. This is a small step stool that you put in front of your toilet in order to put your feet on it while you defecate.
The purpose is to elevate the knees and bring them closer to the chest while sitting on the toilet. This movement of lifting the knees will release the muscle that usually holds the colon intact, and will therefore help the colon in emptying.
The toilet step basically mimics the squat toilet without the discomfort. Get a step for each toilet in your house. Its effect on digestion and elimination is not to be ignored. You’ll believe me once you try it for yourself.
