Bahrain’s favourite rockers Hot Laser have made a timely start to the New Year with the release of their latest studio single Tick Tock to the delight of their army of devoted fans.

The outfit, made up of Ash ‘Trey’ on drums, Joe ‘Danger’ Dalton on bass guitar and backing vocals, Daryl ‘Dynamite’ Bustos on lead guitar and Rob ‘Jungle’ Jennings on keyboard and vocals, believes the recording, available now on iTunes, shows how the act is developing.

Rob said: “We are very proud of this new single and our target is always to build on our previous work. Tick Tock is in the style of classic hard rock and metal. The song touches on themes of time, second chances, fulfilling ambitions, the daily grind, and making the most of what you have before it’s too late. Time is linear …or is it?

“We would like to thank our fans for their continued support. We have received many positive comments, and we are delighted to have provided something different and original for them to enjoy.

“We look forward to releasing the songs Sinking Ship and One Chance in the coming months, and we are planning our first music video too.

“The Bahrain rock scene is creative, unique and growing, with many local rock bands moving forward – we are happy to be a part of it.”

Hot Laser also went on record to say how ‘extremely grateful’ the band is to Radio Bahrain DJ Ian Fisher for featuring the track on his afternoon show, and, of course, the band’s producer Hani Taqi of Studio 77, based in Bahrain, for his studio skills and encouragement.

Hot Laser’s style is rooted in blues-based hard rock, but also incorporates elements of heavy metal, punk and garage rock. Formed in the summer of 2013, the act is rapidly gaining a strong reputation and growing fan base due to the originality of the compositions and thrilling live shows.

The band has performed a wide range of live shows at various locations, from popular bars and clubs to Bahrain International Circuit. Hot Laser’s debut single Narcissism was released last year.

Coming gigs have yet to be confirmed and fans are urged to check the band’s social media accounts for the latest information. Hot Laser is hoping to perform at Coral Bay in early February, followed by the Irish Picnic, Tribfest, and at future rock nights at various venues.

Tick Tock is available to listen for free via streaming online, or download copies can be purchased at all the major online music vendors. Check out www.facebook.com/hotlaserband for more details.
