Essa in from the cold

In bitterly cold and windy conditions, 90 Awali Golf Club (AGC) members donned their gloves, warm jackets and woolly hats to contest the Seef Properties Stroke Play.

The overall winner on Friday, with a net 64 strokes, was Essa Ahmed Abdulla who also posted the lowest gross score of 75.

An active supporter of the club, this is the first time that Seef Properties has sponsored a weekend competition at AGC.

Hussain Abdulaziz Ali, representing the sponsor, and Bill Scarth, the club captain, presented the prizes.
