The race is on, as Bahrain gears up to host their 12th Grand Prix at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir on April 1-3.

I have been revving up for this all year, it being one of my favourite events on the island. There is truly something for the entire family and if you are yet to purchase your tickets; what are you waiting for – visit www.bahrain-grand-prix.com

Bahrain also, benefits from perfect weather conditions at this time of year for us to enjoy throughout the F1 weekend, what more could we want?

Having been fortunate enough to attend a number of other F1 races around the world, none of them have been as well organised as here in Bahrain. Where else can you get up close and personal with so many of the drivers? Plus, drive to the track stress free and be confronted with ample parking!

That’s not all; a weekend ticket entitles you to entry in to the F1 Village, which is filled with activities and entertainment to suit everyone.

Live concerts will see the likes of Jimmy Cliff, Axwell ^ Ingrosso and Avicii taking to the stage. This year’s programme is so full that I’ll be pitching up for the duration of the weekend!

With our son heading back to Bahrain from university, the teens on Easter break and the husband volunteering at the track – all that’s missing is my longed for VIP access to the hospitality tent …

Anyone?
