Sparkle, glitz and glamour were the order of the day at the relaunch by the Al Hawaj Group of the stylish Swarovski boutique in City Centre Bahrain.
The grand opening ceremony for ‘just ladies’ was held under the patronage of Shaikha Thajba bint Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in the afternoon and the public unveiling took place in the evening under the patronage of Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, governor of the Capital Governorate.
Egyptian celebrity Laila Eloui arrived to add some spice to the occasion to the delight of the gathered crowd on Thursday evening.
The new shop concept was artistically named ‘Crystal Forest’ and is an example of the style of boutiques established in high-end fashion capitals around the world such as London and Paris.
Patrik Steiger, vice-president of the jewellery brand’s Central, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa regions, said: “The launch in Bahrain has offered the chance to showcase the new spring/summer collection with perfect brilliance.”
The collection features a range of trendy and modern bracelets and ‘statement pieces’ of jewellery alongside classic pieces which is likely to expand the customer base. “Expect to see a lot of everyday wear products that can be used for any occasion,” he added.
Nasr Sleiman, director for the brand’s Middle East area, said Swarovski was witnessing ‘a lot of growth in the region’ and the new store concept and collection, he was convinced, would add to the demand.
The ‘crystalline oval’ watch is proving to be particularly popular with women because it mixes a Swiss-made timepiece with jewellery and is ‘very wearable’
Sarah Abdul Ghaffar, a fashion blogger who hosted the reopening event, said: “The jewellery is the epitome of glamour, and it is fascinating to see the brand continuously evolve with fashion trends yet still maintain and enhance its signature designs.”
