Gulf Weekly Rushton and Morgan shine under lights

THE pairing of Alastair Rushton and Adrian Morgan won a recent Monday Night Lights competition at the Royal Golf Club in testing weather conditions with an excellent score of -8 (Nett 28) in the Betterball Shambles format. The duo finished one shot ahead of Rob and Debbie Lane who scored -7 (Nett 29).

The tournament attracted a field of 32 players and was played under floodlights on the back 9 holes of the club’s Montgomerie championship course. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Members’ Lounge.

The Monday Night Lights are 9 hole competitions open to members, non-members with official handicaps at a cost of BD18 per night green, fee plus a BD2 entry fee, with a 6.30pm shotgun start.

Non handicap golfers are welcome to play also though and can use the scores on the night to work towards achieving an official handicap.
