Think Pink Bahrain is staging a variety of activities around the kingdom in an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer and raise funds for its charitable endeavours.
The Harley Davidson Owners Group will jump-start the campaign on Friday by staging its ninth annual motorbike ride. The journey will start at 8am from Riffa Views International School and will end at ART Rotana Hotel, Amwaj Islands, at 10am. The launch of Think Pink Bahrain and its Snapchat account will then be celebrated at the hotel.

Art Rotana Hotel will be hosting Pink Friday Brunches throughout October at Choices restaurant and 10 per cent of all brunch tickets sold will be donated to Think Pink Bahrain. There will also be raffle prizes in addition to live performances by Soneando. The Friday brunch from 12.30pm-4pm is priced at BD34 net per person. Rotana Rewards Exclusive membership benefits apply. During the brunch, Think Pink Bahrain volunteers will be selling merchandise.

On Saturday, a Pink Pony Day will be staged at Muharraq Horse Riding School (MHR). Visitors will also meet the official Think Pink Bahrain ambassadors, the MHR Ladies’ Endurance Team.

Also on Saturday, the Royal Golf Club (RGC) will donate a dinar from every green fee. Walking Wednesdays, where players walk for nine holes instead of jumping in a cart, will also be held at the RGC on October 5 and 12 and BD2 will be donated from every green fee after 6pm.
The club will also donate a dinar from every green fee on October 7, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. On October 8, the RGC will have its Beat the Pro’s Challenge on Hole 12 and donate an amount from every green fee.
The RGC will feature a Think Pink selfie station throughout the month.

An exhibition continues at the Bahrain National Museum celebrating the strong civil and military aviation heritage between Bahrain and the UK. The centrepiece is a Supermarine Spitfire, which first flew 80 years ago.
The exhibition runs until October 23.
