Course strategy for better scores

ONE of the easiest ways to lower your score without having to change anything technique wise, is to manage your way around the course more effectively.

In a round of golf, every shot can be narrowed down to percentage play, weighing up your options to see which choice of shot will deliver more consistent results.

A good example of this would be if you are faced with a pin location tucked between a few bunkers or close to a water hazard.

This shot gives you two options; the first being to aim straight at the pin and risk hitting into the bunker or water and ultimately losing at least one or more strokes; the second option being to aim for the middle of the green, giving yourself a chance to make the putt or hole out in two putts at least.

The second option is definitely going to give you more consistent results and less chance of losing unnecessary strokes so try this method out on your next round!
