THE annual Autumn Fair is set to open its
doors to shoppers from January 25 to February 2 at the Bahrain International
Exhibition & Convention Centre, writes Mai Al Khatib-Camille.
The 28th edition of the nine-day shopping
extravaganza, which is held under the patronage of the Bahrain Ministry of
Industry, Commerce and Tourism, will be featuring a variety of textiles,
electronics, lighting fixtures, carpets, jewellery, specialty foods and
furnishings spread over an area of 16,000sqm in three halls.
It will feature more than 750 stalls from
19 countries including China, Egypt, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, Turkey,
Thailand, Syria, UAE and Yemen promising to feature thousands of bargains.
Arabian Exhibition Management’s project
manager, Yaqoob Ali, believes the Autumn Fair is Bahrain’s biggest and most
popular annual consumer products exhibition. He said: “The exhibition centre
becomes a colourful bazaar, transformed by traders who have travelled from far
and wide to Bahrain bringing with them their country’s best exports.
“Visitors can look forward to potential
bargains and new-to-market products. Numerous local businesses also regularly
take part in the exhibition and many offer special deals to visitors.”
Last year, more than 200,000 visitors from
across the region flocked to the festival.
Entry is 800fils and children under the age
of nine will be admitted for free.
Tickets can be purchased during show
opening hours. The exhibition will be open from 12pm-10pm on January 25, from
10am-2pm and 4pm-10pm on January 26, from noon to 10pm on January 27, from

or simply accept to live unfulfilled as they strive for balance, joy, self-
expression, sense of purpose, love or success, she says.
