The 10th edition of a major real estate exhibition will be held on October 26-28 at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Manama.
Bipex 2017 returns to underscore the ‘critical role of the kingdom’s economic diversification by highlighting its major achievements in infrastructure, real estate, leisure projects and the pipeline of competitively-valued and attractive offerings’.
This year’s edition will strive to shed light on development in the kingdom, promote new investment opportunities and its forums will serve as a platform bringing together experts to exchange views and experiences in the property field.
Mohammed Khalil Alsayed, chairman of the organising committee for BIPEX, speaking at a recent launch event at Downtown Rotana, said: “Bipex will be stronger and better this year in terms of adding larger local exhibitors and showcasing the newly-launched projects of regional and international players.
“Our mission is to encourage an ever-deeper understanding of Bahrain’s potential in the real estate market and its strategic positioning as a global commercial and tourism hub for investors.
“The overall real estate landscape in Bahrain continues to adapt and evolve and Bipex will project that progress to the public and boost confidence in our economy.”
Last year’s edition of the event attracted more than 8,000 unique visitors, 24 per cent of which were from outside Bahrain. Over the three days a total of 40 exhibitors showcased real estate assets worth $20 billion.
Also speaking at the conference, Masoud Al Hermi, president of the Bahrain Society of Engineers, added: “During the past decade, as Bipex has grown and positioned itself as a key regional property exhibition, so has emerged Bahrain as regional destination of choice for real estate investment.
“As we embark on our 10th Exhibition, we aim to bring a fundamental transformation to our exhibition as the real estate market itself undergoes an unprecedented transformation.”
“Building on 2016 we aim to assemble Bahrain’s largest gathering of real estate projects and to provide them the opportunity to engage with investors, buyers, financiers and the public from across the region to showcase their own success stories.”
The Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE), the premier body representing engineering professionals in the kingdom, has been tasked with organising and presenting each Bipex event in Bahrain.
The event will be held under the patronage of Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister.
