ART Rotana Amwaj Islands is hosting the work of Amal Al Bulooshi under its ‘Seasons of ART’ initiative, which aims to provide budding artists with a platform to exhibit their works and maximise exposure. 

“Each piece of art has a meaning of its own, a different story and a different perspective,” said the 23-year-old artist and interior designer. “I try to present art in various forms with the aim of reaching different types of people.”

Amal’s work went live at ART Rotana this week and will be kept on public display throughout the month.

“Our aim with this project is to stimulate the local arts scene and encourage investment as well as help nurture the next generation of Bahraini artists,” added the hotel’s GM Lillian Roger.

 

Dance the night away at Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa’s Fly Me to…St. Tropez Beach Party on May 4 from 6pm until after midnight.

The event is headlined by UK DJ Natalie Brogan and celebrity DJ David Guetta and will be the first in a series of themed beach parties to hit the shores of the resort.

A designer sale is being staged at the Bahrain Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ (BSPCA) thrift shop. ‘Pre-loved’ and new designer items such as handbags, shoes, accessories and jewellery, books and many other luxury goods will be on offer at discounted prices.

All proceeds will go towards running the charity’s Animal Welfare Centre. The one-day-only sale will take place on May 6 from 1pm-5pm, at 6 Busheiri Gardens in Budaiya.

The Bahrain Yacht Club in Sitra is hosting a Beachball 2017 extravaganza on May 6 from 11am onwards. Entrance is free for members and 500 fils for members of the public.
