 ART Rotana Amwaj Islands is hosting the work of Amal Al Bulooshi under its ‘Seasons of ART’ initiative, which aims to provide budding artists with a platform to exhibit their works and maximise exposure. Amal’s work will be kept on public display throughout the month.

An interactive exhibition is being held at the Bahrain National Museum highlighting Bahraini-British relations. The exhibition runs until end of August.

Thursday (May 11)
Nora Lee Smith will be performing a viola recital on 6pm at St Christopher’s Cathedral. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Studies and a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Maryland, where she was awarded a full-tuition scholarship from the School of Music.
Tickets are BD5 for adults, and accompanied children are free. Tickets may be purchased from the cathedral office, or at the door on the evening of the concert.

The Manama Theatre Club is hosting a ‘Pint-Sized Comedy Evening’ - a collection of short five-to-10 minute plays with a humorous twist. This is an opportunity for some new faces to flex their dramatic muscles with more seasoned performers in a more informal setting.
The plays are from a compilation of the top entries from a competition that runs in the UK’s public houses, hence the name.
Shows are tonight at the British Club in Um Al Hassam and tomorrow at the Dilmun Club in Saar, both starting at 7.45pm. Tickets cost BD5.
