Promising young golfer Sebastian Woodrow won the Royal Golf Club’s Ramadan PowerPlay Series with an order of merit total of 11 points. Having won first place in the first competition of the four week series, followed by third place in weeks two and three, he did not even need to compete in the final round to clinch the title.
Jerome Colson won the final competition of the series with a total of 27 points. John Savage came second with 26 points resulting in a tie for second in the order of merit.
Adam Dutson, the Royal Golf Club’s tournament coordinator was on hand after the competition to present prizes to the winners.
The exciting PowerPlay Stableford competition, which was played on the floodlit back 9 holes of the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie championship course, gives competitors a choice between the normal flag location and a harder PowerPlay flag option on each green. In an added twist, competitors are forced to play the ‘PowerPlay’ flag on at least three of their nine holes and those successfully completing the harder option receive double points for the respective hole.

1st Jerome Colson (27 points), 2nd John Savage (26), 3rd Rob Lane (25), 4th Earl Fountain (23), 5th Myriam Sudar (20).
Final Order of Merit:
1st Sebastian Woodrow (11 points), tied 2nd John Savage & Jerome Colson (9), 4th Rob Lane (7), 5th Earl Fountain (6).
