The Bahrain Summer Festival returns once again until August 7 with a new line-up of top regional and international live musical and theatrical performances, alongside a wide range of artistic activities and creative workshops.
Amongst those booked to perform are El Gato Negro, Yacoub Shaheen, A Passage To Bollywood and Missoula Children’s Theatre.
Now in its ninth edition, the annual month-long event organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) aims to build on its reputation as one of the most anticipated events of the year thanks to its focus on bringing multi-cultural family-friendly entertainment to the region.
The festival is bringing back its popular Nakhool Tent and staging a variety of free activities and workshops for children. Located at Bahrain Fort, the facility features the familiar and beloved duo of Nakhool and Nakhoola who will welcome families from 4.30pm to 9.30pm every day for the duration of the festival
Live shows from regional and international performers will take place at the Cultural Hall. The festival is part of BACA’s ‘Our Year of Archaeology’ programme which celebrates various aspects and assets of the island’s history, culture and heritage.
