The Lost Paradise of Dilmun Waterpark has notched the coveted Trip Advisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award for a third consecutive year.
Award-winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for amusement parks and water parks worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.
“The Travellers’ Choice award-winning parks deliver thrill-filled excitement and splashy enter-tainment for those visitors seeking ideas for where to go for summer fun,” said Brooke Ferencsik, senior director of communications for TripAdvisor, described as the world’s largest travel website.
This year, also marked another achievement for the waterpark as it consistently ranks in the prestigious Top 10 best waterparks in the Middle East much to the delight of the attraction’s senior management and staff members.
“For the second year in a row, being part of the best waterpark in the Middle East is definitely an achievement for the entire team plus elevating one notch higher in the rankings is another cap in our feather,” said Dr Essa Faqeeh, CEO of Al Areen Investment Co.
“With such recognition we are more determined than ever in delivering the best facilities, most exciting attractions and world class service to all our guests. As we celebrate our 10th sea-son, we continue to deliver a destination like no other.”
One of the standout attractions at the water park is the famed seven-storey high Aqua Loop Rocket Slide, which received top marks too when GulfWeekly’s Kristian Harrison became the first journalist to test the ride.

This summer the waterpark continues to attract more guests with its live entertainment and themed events. Weekend fun includes special guests from popular DJs, singers and bands. Children’s activities are also being enjoyed by families every Saturday. Other events include the popular Ladies Night every Thursday from 6pm and exclusive family mornings every Sat-urday from 9am to noon.
Summer timings have also been updated (weekdays 11am-9pm and weekends 10am-9pm) due to demand extending the night period for those who wish to enjoy the waterpark after sun down.
