I WOULD like to say a ‘well done’ to all the students who have recently passed their A-Level and GCSE examinations and ‘good luck’ with your future endeavours, be it at university or in the workplace.
It always frustrates me when I hear the annual moans from work colleagues who should know better, saying grade thresholds have been lowered to ‘avoid a dramatic fall in results’ and ‘exams were so much harder in my day’.
I think young people have a tough enough time of it with their studies and face an uncertain future in a world that continues to change thanks to technology, some would suggest, not all for the better.
I’m so glad I don’t have to go through it all again!
