American designer Michael Kors’ Spring 2018 line embodies chilled out comfortable clothing for the fashion lover with a relaxed attitude.
This collection is tailored for the everyday woman who wants to look empowered while feeling at ease in her own skin or, in Michael’s case, his cosy jumpers, sassy sarongs, cool kimonos and glittering gowns.
The selection of tops, skirts, trousers, dresses and accessories can be mixed and matched to create different looks suitable for all occasions, whether painting the town red or lounging on a beach.
The collection consists of pyjamas juxtaposed with oversized menswear tailoring, laid-back jackets and trenches, crisp shirts and poet blouses, as well as chilled shorts and trousers.
For the evening, women can opt for barefoot glamour with slight layering in fabrics such as chiffon, linen gauze and georgette. There are also loose dresses as well as ones with the designer’s signature defined waists.
The label includes designs in shades of rosewater, wisteria and cornflower, as well as a mixture of blues from surf and maritime to clear water. Other colour tones used in the assortment include tones of black and white along with earthy shades of sand, pearl and smoke.
The clothing is emphasised by artisanal detailing, hand-weaving, tie dye and dimensional embroidery with painted images of tropical palms.
The outfits are complimented by accessories such as a slouchy shoulder sack, softly knotted sandals and satchels as well as the croc flip-flop and large hats.
