As a dedicated diner and restaurant reviewer, our editor Stan couldn’t agree more with the findings of a recent survey on the bad manners we hate to see at a restaurant.
Clicking your fingers to get the waiter’s attention, making a ‘signing’ gesture for the bill and tucking your napkin into your collar have emerged as some of the most inexcusable restaurant faux-pas.
Speaking with your mouth full and holding your knife like a pencil also made the list of restaurant no-nos.
The editor, however, owns up to his own annoying faults of mispronouncing the names of dishes and chefs, as evident in his regular YouTube videos, as well as texting at the table, taking pictures of every course and spending too long posting to social media.
