Tickets to this year’s FIA WEC Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain are now on sale. The November 17 and 18 event in Sakhir will mark the ninth and final round of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Many of the world’s most prestigious marques in motoring will be represented at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), including Porsche, Toyota, Ferrari, Aston Martin and Nissan. Many ex-Formula 1 stars feature behind the wheel competing in a large grid of more than 30 cars.
The trio of Sebastien Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Kazuki Nakajima were triumphant in the last race in Japan for Toyota Gazoo Racing. The penultimate round of the season, the 6 Hours of Shanghai, takes place on November 5.
This year’s event in Bahrain will be the sixth edition of the desert endurance race and is set to flag off at 4pm, with the chequered flag scheduled to come down around 10pm.
Aside from the WEC, there will be a trio of supporting championships, including the India-based MRF Challenge, the Bahrain-bred Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East and the World Series Formula V8 3.5 Championship. There will also be entertainment off the track aimed at the whole family.
Tickets cost BD10 for the entire weekend. Children aged 12 and younger can get in for free. For details visit www.bahraingp.com or call the BIC Hotline on 17450000.
