Families and friends shopping at Oasis Mall in Muharraq are being treated to an aquatic adventure for every BD15 or more spent at its various stores.

The shopping destination, founded by Al Rashid Group, which is a division of Landmark Group, will be featuring a digital underwater world experience for shoppers to enjoy until Saturday.

The artificial aquarium, which includes colourful fish and water life swimming across four giant screens, captivated customers when it was first launched at Oasis Mall in East Riffa. During the launch, the groups Shukran Gold shoppers and members of the media were given a preview of the aquarium and its sandy-beach like setting.

Friends Layla Abdullaal, a nurse, and Layla Fardan, an accountant, happily snapped pictures and videos for their social media accounts as they admired the exotic fish.

Ms Abdullaal, from Hamad Town, said: “I shop quite a lot at Oasis Mall because it has all the shops I like and want and it’s a calm place to shop. It’s a great idea to add this feature to its shopping experience. The aquarium is a great touch for customers to enjoy and I believe that children will love it the most.”

Ms Fardan, who lives in Malkiya, agreed and added: “The setup of the aquarium is wonderful. The effects and sand and sound…everything is great. This will surely attract families.”

After completing their journey under-the-sea, the ladies stopped at a photo booth section which is part of the exhibit to capture the experience.

Customers that spend BD15 or more will get free entry to the fishy fun and the aquarium is open from 10am to 10pm on weekdays and until 11pm on Thursday and Friday.

The malls feature diverse global anchor stores for fashion and footwear for children and adults, lifestyle products, for beauty, fitness and health, food and beverage outlets and activities for children.
