Renewing your car insurance on New Year’s Eve was perhaps not the best idea in hindsight, as reporter Kristian Harrison found out to his dismay. Seemingly, half of Bahrain also had to renew their premiums for 2018...leaving Kristian with a three-hour wait and an empty hole in his wallet.

After that, he raced to the office to prepare for deadline day and was met with slow-moving traffic as cars creeped through the dense mist like something out of a horror movie. If it’s any comfort, this was probably the best night of the year to drown his sorrows ... that’s if there was any time left!
