THE world premiere of Baloo the Movie has fittingly taken place at the RIA Centre for Children with Special Needs in Adliya where the loveable rescue Labrador, the star of two fund-raising books, regularly brings joy and laughter to autistic children and those with communication challenges.
The eight-minute long docu-drama was made by Bahrain-based filmmaker Jason Carter and is a ‘super fun story’, told by Baloo himself - a film about his time in the region, documenting some of the highlights of his life.
The release coincided with aging Baloo’s 13th birthday and it will be used to help highlight and promote the work of therapy dogs. Owner Sarah Clarke said the response to the movie has been ‘amazing’ and a few tears have been shed too. “Jason did a fabulous job,” she added. Check it by placing your smart phone over the QR code.
