Women are being urged to visit City Centre Bahrain to receive complimentary heart health test this weekend as part of an annual regional awareness campaign called ‘Feel the Beat’.

Mall owner Majid Al Futtaim had launched the initiative offering complimentary cardio-health screening for women in shopping malls in the kingdom, the UAE, Egypt, Lebanon and Oman.

The initiative is being staged in collaboration with the American Heart Association and the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Cardiac Centre and King Hamad University Hospital.

The campaign, which runs until the end of October, was created to celebrate World Heart Day which falls on Saturday and also to spread awareness of cardiovascular disease, prevention and the importance of early detection.

Medical professionals will administer the complimentary cardio-health screening for women on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 10pm. Visitors will also be able to check their blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index to determine if they are at risk of heart disease and if they need a follow-up consultation for further analysis.

Meanwhile, Saturday is also the last day to snap up special promotions and thrilling prizes as part of the shopping destination’s on-going festivities to mark the 88th Saudi National Day.

Shoppers spending BD30 could win 100g 24k gold plates and the first 50 visitors every day who splash out BD40 will instantly receive two cinema tickets.
