The all-female Annual Zumbathon 2018 event will be held at ART Rotana, Amwaj Islands on Saturday to help women dance off the weight as well as raise funds and awareness for Smile of Bahrain, a charity that supports children suffering from cancer.
The event is being organised by Tarteeb and FB Events and was founded by Bahraini Zumba instructor, Zumba marketing agent and the founder of FB Events Fatima Bader, to give back to the community through a fun and active initiative.
In the past, they have supported a variety of charity organisations including Dream Society, Think Pink Bahrain and Smile of Bahrain in the previous years.
“Zumba is gaining a wide and fast popularity around the world, simply because every class feels like a party. It is pretty much the most awesome workout ever – you get to dance to great music, with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realising it,” said Fatima, the company director.
This year’s event will be led by three international Zumba education specialists Sandra Harnes from the UK and Ecem Ozcan and Didem Zeybek both from Turkey along with the queen of dancehall from Russia Katerina Troitskaya.
