A spectacular show was staged in Sitra in a special arena close to the Audi Bahrain showroom with the marque’s beasts under dazzling spotlights with video presentations.
Among the star attractions was the prestige sport utility 2019 Audi Q8 TFSI which continues to receive rave reviews in the motoring press. Top Gear described it as ‘big, aggressive, interesting and clever, with a side order of whoa’.
The event was staged last week by Behbehani Brothers for a specially invited audience with the location kept under wraps until just hours before the presentation. Audi was added to its distribution portfolio in 1984.
A special appearance of an ABB FIA Formula E Championship race car also turned heads. Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt have been a partnership since the inception of the championship and won the teams’ title for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler in 2017/2018. In the fifth season, they will be competing with the newly-developed Audi e-tron FE05. The season kicks off this weekend in Saudi Arabia.
