Buenos Aires-born Sofía Sanchez de Betak, the author of Travels with Chufy, has teamed up with The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts to launch an exclusive capsule collection inspired by Emirati art and culture.
The 54-piece line from CHUFY x The Luxury Collection is based on the art director and fashion consultant’s exploration of Dubai’s vibrant culture, desert safaris, falconry and traditional old souqs.
The design narrative of the ready-to-wear collection is centered around UAE’s national animal, the oryx, and is inspired by the natural surroundings of Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa and Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, the celebrated hotels that influenced Sofía’s clothing line.
“The Luxury Collection’s hotels and resorts are such special expressions of the locale and I was so thrilled to explore the UAE through the lens of their properties,” said Sofía, a New York-based avid world traveller and style influencer. “The UAE is a country of unconventional architecture with many awe-inspiring and opulent buildings and The Luxury Collection offers indigenous experiences that showcase the destination’s captivating contrast between desert and city experiences.”
