They say ‘3’ is a lucky number and I do hope it will bring me luck as I am transferring to my third Four Seasons property as its new director of public relations and communications.

I joined the Four Seasons family more than seven years ago in Budapest and after two years I had the honour to move to the Gulf to join the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.

Needless to say, with all your support, love and friendship we managed to ‘tell stories’ that established the well-deserved reputation of this landmark hotel.

With all your media support, we dined, celebrated and cheered together for many great launches in one of our seven restaurants including our chic Wolfgang Puck outlets, and lately we all got excited about our major milestone: the launch of the brand-new Four Seasons beach.

Nearly five meaningful years spent on this beautiful island (and so much sweating during the Bahraini summer!) still I am so glad that I managed not to give up on this exotic part of the world, and I decided to take up on the challenge and transfer to the ultra-modern sanctuary at the edge of the Arabian Gulf: Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island.

With 14 years of experience in the field of corporate communications and having been living in many countries around the world, I will always cherish what this incredible island destination has given to me: meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime.

Bahrain and its people: you will always be in my heart!

Veronika Szabo,

Formerly director of public relations and communications,

Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.

Editor’s note: A farewell reception was held last week for Veronika attended by GM Richard Raab, senior executives and other colleagues. Leaving gifts included a pair of gold earrings and a signed, framed image of the property with personal messages of good luck.

Thanks a million for the lovely report about the recent Laughter Yoga festival and sessions in Bahrain. As you rightly pointed out the aim is to help boost morale, decrease stress and strengthen people’s immune systems.

As a result of last week’s article we have also attracted a few new people interested in joining in.

Kayem Thomez, Zinj.

Editor’s note: The Laughter Club meets at the KCA, in Segaiya monthly. The next laughter yoga session will be staged on Saturday at Khadija Plaza 2 from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. For more information, email keyem21@gmail.com or call 39867041.
