THE Whisperer felt for the British expat mum who was trying to help her son via a long-distance phone call find his missing wallet.
Imagine the scenario, spending two hours trying to calm down a distraught teenager and helping him to methodically eliminate each room.
He looked in the fridge, wardrobes, cupboards, under the mattress, all the drawers, upstairs, downstairs and then back to the games room which he said he had already checked several times.
Mum urged him to calm down and sit in his chair. He immediately screamed: “FOUND IT!’
The wallet was stuck there all along. The house, however, is now totally trashed. It was jokingly suggested that perhaps a maid service could be called to sort out the mess. He said ‘good idea, mum ... I’m off out now, talk later’.
Don’t you just love ’em?
