DEDICATED employee Jameela Al Nooh has been rewarded for her sterling efforts in the workplace with a shiny set of magnificent wheels presented to her by her bosses.

The 49-year-old mother-of-three now arrives at the company premises in a sporty, sky blue Mercedes Benz CLK as a ‘thank you’ for more than 25 years of dedicated service to custom-made furniture business Komandor Middle East.

Jameela, who lives in Sanad, close to the showroom in Riffa, was stunned by the generous gift which came at a difficult time for her as she tragically lost both her parents recently.

“I couldn’t believe it,” she told GulfWeekly. “It was such a surprise. This is something you would never expect and I’m so grateful for being appreciated in such a manner. It was a very proud moment for me and my family.

“My company has supported me from the moment I joined them and recently it’s been a difficult time as I lost my father and mother.”

Showroom manager Jameela says chairman Raj Damani and his family treat the whole team like an extended family and they have ‘always considered me as a part of them’.

“This was such a valuable and lovable gift,” she added. “It was such an unforgettable surprise too as all the staff were called in for a meeting, which no one was aware of what it was for, and then I was presented with the car.”

The actual value of the mighty Mercedes has not been revealed but, more importantly, it was the thought that counts. The gesture was celebrated by the whole team and Raj says the token of appreciation was well deserved.

“During my 10 years in this company, I’ve known Jameela as a simple woman with strong work ethics, always setting and achieving goals,” said Wilma M Herrera, the chairman’s executive secretary. “She is dependable and consistently following through. She has a positive attitude, is self-motivated and works effectively with little direction. This car was a way to show our appreciation for her dedicated services and for meeting sales targets continuously for five years.”
