Hublot brought its Geneva Days Roadshow to Bahrain for the fourth consecutive year, to present its first novelties for 2019 celebrating the ‘Art of Fusion’ with innovative materials in various shapes and colours … with a special Bahrain edition.

Fans of the famous Swiss luxury watchmaker which was founded in 1980 by Italian Carlo Crocco, known as ‘Hublotistas’, gathered at CUT, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, last Thursday to witness the new timepieces being unveiled and to try them out.

David Tedeschi, regional director of Hublot Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East & Africa, and Dr Abdul Qassim Shirazi, MD of Bahrain Jewellery Centre, presented the new collection to Hublotistas and members of the press.

The new Classic Fusion Bahrain Edition is an exclusive titanium watch featuring the Bahrain emblem on the top of the cover and different iconic forts inside the cover which shields the red dial. There are only 45 pieces made, with 15 highlighting each of the kingdom’s main forts and cost around BD4,300 each.

“We are happy to be back in Bahrain to share our latest watches with members of the press and with our collectors whom we are confident appreciate our novelties. We are also proud to present the new Classic Fusion Bahrain Edition which celebrates Bahrain through its colour and images,” David added.

The special Bahrain timepieces took around one year to be made and delivered to the kingdom. Bahrain Jewellery Centre came with the design concept for the master craftsmen of Hublot to deliver.

The others stars of the collection are the new Classic Fusion Orlinski pieces: the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski Red Magic, released in a limited edition of 200 pieces, is vibrant with Hublot’s patented red ceramic, in the colour of life and passion, evoking Richard Orlinski’s first Born Wild Crocodile sculpture.

The new Classic Fusion Tourbillon Orlinski carves out a creation that is as sculptural as it is free. Its wide, three-dimensional slanted case in sapphire, King Gold or black ceramic unveils structured mechanics, displaying modernity in all of its facets.

Dr Abdul Qassim Shirazi added: “We were glad to be hosting in Manama again, the highly-anticipated yearly Hublot Roadshow. The novelties’ new combinations of materials, colours and shapes are a unique treat for our Hublot fans and new enthusiasts alike.”
