Expat Rhona Welch went to see the Stan and Ollie movie at the recently opened Cinepolis cinema at Atrium Mall only to realise after leaving the theatre that she had somehow dropped a wallet containing a large amount of cash.
Around 30-minutes later she rushed back to the Saar complex to see if she could find it under the seat when she was met by a smiling member of staff waiting for her arrival.
The honest cinema employee had even tried to run after her as soon as she found the wallet, having remembered the customer when she had arrived, but was unable to spot her in the building or car park.
“She would not accept any reward for finding and returning my wallet but offered me a bottle of water and a seat while a security guard went to get it. Guess which cinema I’ll be going back to!” relieved Rhona told friends of the Whisperer.
The unknown cinema attendant deserves the honour of being the first recipient of the Whisperer Champion of the Community accolade. If you know her name, please contact the Editor.
And, if you know of any other worthy candidates, we would like to hear from you too.
