October marks the global solidarity movement for Breast Cancer Awareness, which is a reminder for individuals to preventively get themselves checked and to continue raising funds for research and cure of this fatal illness. The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain honours this initiative with a variety of special treats, culinary experiences and a stylish Pink Island Party where a portion of the total sales is donated to Think Pink Bahrain, a local charity organization. A Pink Pony Day will be held at the Muharraq Riding School. Entry is BD1 per person and it runs from 4pm to 7pm.
A Ride 4 Pink will be held on October 26. Think Pink ambassadors will participate in the fourth annual horse parade for awareness. Registration is priced BD7 and there are limited spaces.

Every year, Pink October is celebrated around the world to raise awareness for breast cancer and celebrate those who battle the disease every day. This year, the IHG hotels in Bahrain, InterContinental Regency and Crowne Plaza Bahrain have joined hands to do their part in the fight against breast cancer.
Both hotels will host pink brunches on October 11 and BD1 per person will go towards the Think Pink Bahrain Breast Cancer Society.
