A fun two-day festival will be staged in the kingdom this Friday and Saturday to celebrate womanhood featuring an array of activities for the entire family to enjoy.
CreaTree Service is collaborating with Adhari Park, Bahrain to host Womania Winterfest event at its premises from 4pm to 10pm each day. The women-centric carnival, which boasts the tagline “Why shouldn’t women have all the fun?” will boast an open-air festival filled with food, entertainment, music, shopping options, games and competitions including a talent show.
While entry is free, people can avail three hours of unlimited rides for BD5 each, as part of a one-off offer for this festival and CreaTree Services will donate a part of their proceeds from this event to Mother and Child Welfare Society, Bahrain.
Vaijayantee Bhattacharya, Founder and Owner of Creatree Services, who is also an author, poet and journalist, said: “CreaTree services dedicates itself to at least one event a year to support the cause of women’s empowerment. In 2018, we conducted a panel discussion on domestic violence on the sidelines of a book launch.
“This time around, we are glad to collaborate with Adhari Park in organising this festival that celebrates women in all their glory.
“We hope to be able to provide a refreshing change for all women through this festival where they can enjoy themselves thoroughly through food, music, entertainment, and rediscover the child in them. This is our noble endeavour to connect all women across cultures and communities, and empower them through shared knowledge, visions and experiences.”

The weekend bonanza will include live painting sessions by different artists and poetry presentations focused on the glory of womanhood by poets from the Bahrain Writers’ Circle as well as Arabic poems from local poets. There will also be free workshops by the Bahrain Women’s Association. There will also be games, activities, performances and food vendors.
Other organisations participating in this event include the American Women’s Association, the Women’s Crisis Care International, the Indian Ladies Association and the HV Holistic Health and Corrective Training healthcare clinic, to name a few.
HV will be hosting a talk after the inauguration on holistic health and will stage an in body assessment and a mini postural analysis. The group will also be handing out vouchers for their infrared sauna and providing holistic advice on how to cope with stress as well as how to correct your posture. This is besides the free health-checkups for women that is being organised by Kim’s Hospital.
Mona Almoayyed, managing director of Y K Almoayyed & Sons, will inaugurate the event. She is a businessperson, a women’s right campaigner, a philanthropist and an environmentalist voted as third in the most influential Arab Women’s List in the MENA region.
The Inaugural programme on Friday will start-off with a one-off parade in which women will display their unity in multicultural diversity. Women are being asked to show up in their traditional garbs to highlight their culture and walk the parade in colourful style.
Vaijayantee added: “It will be an exciting festival for everyone to make the most of the cool winter weather here in the Island!”
