The stc Winter Wonderland, a month-long outdoor festival featuring a 500sqm outdoor ice rink, opened at the stc Bahrain headquarters’ parking lot in the Seef area.
Featuring a line-up of fun filled family entertainment activities, food trucks and rides, the carnival is open daily from 5pm until midnight. Each stc Bahrain and stc Saudi subscriber is entitled to one free entry ticket and non-stc subscribers can enter for BD1.
The massive outdoor ice rink, complete with fun ice time and accessories for a unique ice experience, is accessible with an admission fee of BD4 for stc customers and BD5 for non-stc customers.
At the inauguration, Eng. Nezar Banabeela, CEO of stc Bahrain, said: “The main reason we organised this carnival and the associated activities was to translate one of the promises that we made when we introduced the new brand – we want to reach many parts of our customers’ lives and we are proud of introducing this innovative concept and giving our customers and others lots of entertainment and food options at this event.”
Bumper cars, a carousel, Kamikaze, Crazy wave, roller coasters and more rides, priced from BD1.5 to BD2.5 await visitors, in addition to more than 30 Bahraini food trucks and outlets.
The Winter Wonderland will also feature multiple bands and DJ’s including DJ Farah, Fawaz and Eman, Kushari band, Esraa Jay and The Refiners, Digeridoo with drums, Kayan experience, The Ravens band, The Ismael Dawas band, Qambar band, as well as performances by Dynamix – the breakdance crew, acts by the magician Badru and a game show.
Nezar added: “stc Bahrain is always looking at opportunities and experiences to bring the community together. The Winter Wonderland is one such an event that allows us to celebrate our achievements with the community and support home-grown brands. We would like to invite everyone to come and experience this festive carnival that is packed with entertaining activities for the entire family.”
An interactive 5G zone, consisting of play stations, speed test and free Wi-Fi is also available for visitors to experience the telecom company’s growing 5G coverage, which, according to Nezar, currently reaches 50pc of Bahrain’s residents, with plans in place to expand it based on customer demand.
Tickets for access to stc Winter Wonderland and the ice-skating rink are available at the stc City Centre Bahrain outlet, and at the door.
