Jeep will celebrate its 80th birthday in 2021 with a series of dedicated events across the Middle East, Africa and Europe, writes Mai Al-Khatib-Camille. The milestone will also be marked by the marque with the launch of anniversary special-edition models.
These vehicles will feature distinct design flourishes inside and out, including seats and wheels, along with dedicated commemorative badging. Powered by internal combustion engines and Jeep plug-in hybrid system, they will also be packed full of advanced technology and safety features. The special-edition models will be made available in Jeep showrooms across the region from later on this year and early next.
This summer it introduced the Jeep Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe – the first Jeep vehicles with plug-in hybrid technology. Over the next few years an electrified option will be available on each nameplate in the award-winning Jeep SUV range.
All electrified Jeep vehicles will carry the 4x4 badge, centred on the pillars of efficiency, performance, and responsibility, 4x4 capability and driver confidence. For details on Jeep’s special-edition, visit www.media.fcaemea.com/em-en/jeep
