Mothers from across the kingdom were celebrated by Al Hawaj Group as part of the ‘I Love My Mum’ contest.
The luxury retail group held a ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay to commemorate the winners of the annual caring competition, in which customers were earlier invited to pen a Mother’s Day note sharing their love and appreciation for them.
A panel of judges, which included Royal Humanitarian Foundation secretary general Dr Mustafa Al Sayed and Kuwaiti actor Dawood Hussain, assessed the messages and chose the winners, who were honoured at the event.
Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh, Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan, Al Hawaj Group board chairman Jawad Al Hawaj and general manager Abdul Wahab Al Hawaj were present.
As a special gesture, the ceremony also honoured members of the National Taskforce to Combat Covid-19 and their mothers for supporting them throughout their journey to success as Bahraini doctors.
