Located in the island’s sensational gastronomic hub, The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, the first of its kind in the Middle East and the fourth Krug restaurant concept in the world, La Table Krug by Y has reopened its world-class fine dining restaurant.

Diners are invited to embark on ‘an epicurean journey for the senses’, spearheaded by legendary food disruptor Yann Bernard Lejard with one of the boldest and most revolutionary gourmet dining experiences.

This exquisite restaurant was born in a symphony and explosion of flavours linked to the vineyards of Reims, France, with a heritage dating back to 1843.

Diners will find themselves gripped by a sense of total euphoria as the tantalising dishes, tastefully sculpted to create culinary masterpieces, are served in the most enlivening and lavish atmosphere.

The senses are awakened with every mouthful as each delicate serving is more than food but the cuisine of desire, a moment that waves the sentiments and comforts the soul with an elevated experience where modern luxury is a lifestyle.

General Manager Bernard de Villéle said the beach resort was delighted to have been given the opportunity to reopen the restaurant, with its sparkling partnership.

“As a luxury brand that continuously evolves, we strive to provide the finest dining experiences for our guests and La Table Krug by Y promises unconventional and Experimotional culinary journey especially curated by our very own Yann Bernard Lejard,” he added.

The culinary journey at La Table Krug by Y is inspired by Yann’s artistic expression where the food comes alive and transports diners to unexpected places within their imagination.

In a new era of food creation, following the ‘food and art’ pioneering movement ‘Yannesque’ created by culinary artist Yann Bernard Lejard, each delectable bite evokes pure emotion.

A gastronomic paradise, the food and beverages on offer are constantly reinvented through creative dishes that take inspiration from the vast culinary world heritage and the legacy of the natural French-born chef.

“Food should be more than just a means of sustenance; it should be a complete sensory experience,” explained the celebrated cuisine master. “When dining at La Table Krug by Y, we want to create a unique journey for each guest.

“The menu will always be daring, playful and unexpected. We don’t set limits. Instead, we aim to create culinary masterpieces that are bold and extraordinary to give our diners something they have never seen before.”

Masterfully creating works of art from bold ingredients, Yann’s award-winning talents chart a unique culinary journey that awakens the senses. Guests can revel in an exquisite, ever-evolving menu of artfully-crafted dishes.

Every detail adds to the sophisticated and engaging ambiance with silver tableware by Christofle, plates by Bernardaud Ecume, crystal glasses by Riedel, and handmade local pottery by Bahrain’s own Nada pottery.

La Table Krug by Y is led by Director of Culinary and Food and Beverage, Yann, along with a team of exceptionally dedicated colleagues.

Fine dining, fashion, art, luxury and poetry in motion were combined for a recent launch event. Among the guests were French Ambassador, Jerome Cauchard and Annada founders Nada and Noor Alawi whose collections of head-turning garments feature the work of a selection of artists that complement everyday outfits.

Also present were Behbehani group general manager Steven Hill who watched on as a canvas was placed over the bonnet of a Bentley Bentayga S to allow Chef Yann to splash his celebrated style accompanied by classical music to add to the atmosphere, as well as representative of Krug, Olivier Raynaud, and property owner representative, Yamil Santiago.

The food and art dinner menu was inspired on the night and included ‘Bahrain Two Seas’ - fresh from Manama fish market - a blue crab soup, toasted brioche, cheese and rouille, ‘Birds of the Future’ featuring unctuous chicken breast, Label Rouge, macaroni au gratin, parmesan and juice from the bone, as well as delicious desserts such as a berry extravaganza called ‘A Memory In Time’.

Nightly dinner service is at hand from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 7pm to 11pm. A sophisticated a la carte menu is available and a curated ‘Experimotional’ set menu is available upon request.
