Autumn this year has seen an exciting array of new TV shows, especially those expanding the universes of loved movies and series and the upcoming TV show Wednesday, streaming on Netflix on November 23, is no different, offering us a new perspective on the spooky Addams family.
Tim Burton’s new coming-of-age fantasy comedy follows a teenage Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) who, after numerous expulsions from ‘normal’ schools, enrolls at her parents’ (Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman) alma mater – the Nevermore Academy.
While there, Wednesday must learn to control her own emerging psychic powers, stop a monster from destroying the town, and solve the supernatural mystery that affected her family some 25 years prior.
First announced back in February 2021, the unique mix of fantasy-horror-mystery-comedy will be written by the creators of Superman drama Smallville and will include producers who have been involved in previous Addams Family projects.
