DC Shazam! fans are already counting down the superhero’s arrival next month as its trailer has proven the two-hour and 10 minute movie is going to be another flying success with effortless humour and charismatic characters.
The film Shazam! Fury of the Gods, directed by David F Sandberg who also helmed the first movie, has plenty of action teed up for DC’s favourite champion Billy Batson played by Asher Anger and Zachary Levi.
The movie chronicles the story of foster child Billy who rapidly transforms from an average teenager to a superhero whenever he says ‘shazam’.
His powers were extended to his foster siblings in the last movie, resulting in the entire lot having to balance their teenage lives alongside superhero powers.
Shazam! Fury of the God will introduce the daughters of Atlas as ancient deities who are determined to take back the powers stolen from their father, putting not only Billy and his family at risk but also the rest of the world.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be the first in a line of releases for the studio this year, coming to theatres on March 17.
